What is Asclera?

Asclera is an FDA-approved sclerotherapy injectable that treats spider and reticular (small varicose) veins in your lower extremities. The injection causes diseased veins to seal shut, absorbing into your body and fading away over time. 

Spider and small varicose veins are visible, spider web-like veins — often red, blue, or purple in color — that appear on your legs or face. They’re sometimes achy or painful, though usually not a cause for concern.

You must wear compression stockings for several days or up to a week as directed to apply pressure to your lower legs, maintain healthy blood flow, and experience optimal results.

It’s important to walk for 15-20 minutes after treatment and move around daily. Avoid heavy exercise, hot tubs, and saunas, and long plane flights until given the okay.
